Lab Tech / Tool Crib Attendant

About The Position

Provide support to the EAT programs and tool crib areas. Monitor facility operations for the Manager of Facilities & Operations, in her/his absence, to ensure that the facility is operated in a manner that is consistent with the policies and procedures adopted by the College for the overall operation. Enforces health, safety and fire regulations within the facility. May be required to open/close the facility.

Requirements

Related work experience or demonstrated ability to perform duties of the position.
Some education required such as relevant course work and/or formal training.
Use of computers and advanced technical support may be required.

Responsibilities

Check in and check out tools and equipment in EAT labs.
Provide proper security for the facility, tools, and equipment.
Inform supervisor and/or instructor of students not following safety procedures.
Answer telephone, transfer calls and/or take messages.
Run errands on campus.
Assist faculty, staff, and students within the EAT facility(s).
Maintain all department records electronically, including inventory of lab supplies, and initiate replacement supply orders.
Perform daily routine shop and equipment cleaning and rubbish removal.
Perform routine shop and equipment cleaning.
Monitor equipment condition and notify supervisor of required repairs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
