About The Position
The Tool Crib attendant is responsible for maintaining the parts crib. Receives, stores and issues tools, etc. for plant. Unload and store material in proper locations and perform receiving transactions. Issue material to plant wide personnel and accurately perform system transactions. Communicate potential supply problems to supervisor and purchasing.
Requirements
- Knowledge of inventory control
- Communication skills
- Organization and attention to detail
- Self-starter
- Excellent forklift/material handling skills
- Basic math skills for verification of receipt quantities
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to read applicable instructions.
Responsibilities
- Provides a high level of service to plant wide employees.
- Maintains accurate inventories and a safe organized environment.
- Maintain Crib – Dispense PPE, parts and supplies to employees and accurately perform system transactions.
- Send parts for repair and follow up on status.
- Communicate potential supply problems to supervisor and purchasing.
- Maintain logbooks for issuing certain production components.
- Moving material with fork truck, mini crane.
- Other duties as assigned.
