Under direct supervision of Production Manager, performs standardized testing to ensure product meets customers specifications.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent with 1-2 years related experience
  • Must possess good mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Computer efficiency required.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Candidates must have demonstrated experience with and knowledge of safety.
  • Candidates must possess sound verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs standardized quality control tests.
  • Approves completed batches against prescribed specifications.
  • Test samples per inspection plan
  • Makes effective material additions as required and brings batches up to standard
  • Maintains and documents proper quality control records.
  • Performs general laboratory housekeeping practices.
  • Has a general knowledge of the SAP system.
  • Assists in general lab duties such as formula revisions, and colormatching as necessary.
  • Has sound knowledge of finished goods product systems and their properties.
  • COA reporting.
  • Participates in TQM training and teams.
  • Performs monthly reporting.
  • Perform equipment calibrations.
  • Assists in the work off and recovery programs of the branch.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Proper waste disposal
  • Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Maintain a clean work area and work safely.
  • Participate actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs and training sessions.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performance of position duties.
  • Stays updated on all applicable procedures.
