About The Position

The Lab Sciences Lab Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the laboratory space in STEM 116. This includes maintaining an inventory of lab supplies for BIOL 1140L, 2210L, and 2225L and CHEM 1215L and/or 1225L, ensuring the lab is cleaned, supplies are stored in the proper place, and the lab is organized overall. Responsibilities also include weekly prep for BIOL 1140L, CHEM 1215L, and/or CHEM 1225L prior to lab, and weekly clean-up and restocking supplies after lab. The role also involves completing purchase request forms for lab supplies and organization of STEM Outreach Fellow lab supplies.

Requirements

• Completion of BIOL 1140L
• CHEM 1215 and CHEM 1215L or the equivalent
• Recommendation from a UNM-Taos faculty member
• Current UNM-Taos student

Nice To Haves

• Completion of BIOL 1140, 2210 or 2225
• Completion of CHEM 1225 and 1225L
• Associates of Science Degree seeking student
