LAB REVENUE CYCLE SPECIALIST- FULL TIME
About The Position
The Laboratory Revenue Cycle Specialist will provide aide to the Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator for Meditech responsibilities, including interfacing new lab equipment, dictionary edits, generating and reviewing Meditech reports, software updates, active fax oversight, Netprint oversight, and downtime maintenance. This role also aids in revenue cycle oversight in conjunction with the L.I.S.C. and L.R.S., and provides the capacity for problem resolution related to billing errors, patient callback trending, interface errors, charge rejections, advanced beneficiary notices, coding errors, and utilization. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for data collection for statistical trends in the laboratory to maintain the Quality Management Plan and will provide leadership to secretarial staff through training, procedures, responsibilities, and coaching.
Requirements
- Must be able to communicate and effectively exchange information with laboratory staff, nursing staff, physicians, physician office staff, patients, patient’s families, other customers, and guests.
Nice To Haves
- A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Meeting requirements for the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Medical Technologist is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a leadership role in a hospital laboratory or similar setting is preferred.
- Previous experience in managing projects and handling multiple priorities is very desirable.
Responsibilities
