About The Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. Help design and collect data in our hydraulics laboratory experiments—supporting setup, testing, and data logging for scale-model flume studies.
Requirements
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Completion of Fluid Mechanics or equivalent course
- Strong attention to detail and basic data-analysis skills (Excel, MATLAB, or Python)
- Good communication skills for report writing and group meetings
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
- Must be a UND student
- Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the US
- Must complete employment eligibility verification form upon hire
Responsibilities
- Assist with the physical setup of hydraulic apparatus and instrumentation
- Collect and record laboratory and field data accurately
- Prepare written summaries, reports, and presentation slides
- Be physically capable of lifting equipment
