Your Role: Lab Operations & Training Specialist As Lab Operations & Training Specialist, you will support Technical Development laboratory operations in Fort Dodge by coordinating training and development systems and processes that enable compliant, efficient work across the team. In this role, you will own the coordination and execution of the Technical Development training program, provide support for the Quality Management System (QMS), and support documentation processes. You will work across functions to improve training compliance, quality system support, and laboratory documentation standards in a fast-paced scientific environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in laboratory operations, technical development, or a related scientific environment.
  • Experience in adult learning, training and development or related talent development/HR position, and a high understanding of innovative adult learning strategy.
  • High learning agility and the ability to apply previous knowledge on adult learning to science based, technical focused curriculum.
  • Experience coordinating and creating training programs, including training assignments, completion tracking, training record maintenance and performing classroom training.
  • Experience and expertise in utilizing LMS and using interactive learning tools or systems, such as articulate 360
  • Strong verbal, facilitation, and written communication skills, high ethical and quality standards, and the ability to understand and influence key business drivers within the discipline.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Elanco does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this position.

  • Experience supporting Veeva Quality Management System (QMS) processes and documentation workflows.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional scientific teams and improving laboratory documentation or operational workflows.

  • Experience supporting compliant laboratory documentation and training practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Technical Development training program, including training assignments, completion tracking, training records, course development and execution to support onboarding and ongoing capability development.
  • Will work with Subject Matter Experts to develop training courses and be responsible for managing the execution of training for science related areas.
  • Will create and perform in-person training on general business skills for employee professional development.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Veeva Quality Management System (QMS) activities, including document workflows, user support, and laboratory-related documentation processes.
  • Support laboratory documentation standards to help maintain accurate, complete, and compliant records.
  • Partner with Technical Development staff and managers to identify and implement improvements in training, quality documentation, and laboratory operations workflows.
  • Contribute to a safe, compliant, and productive laboratory environment while working independently and collaborating across teams to meet business needs.
