About The Position

InVia Fertility Specialists is seeking an experienced Lab Supervisor to join our IVF Laboratory team at our Hoffman Estates, IL location. This is a full-time, salaried leadership role in which you will serve as the operational backbone of the lab — overseeing daily workflows, staff development, quality systems, and regulatory compliance in close collaboration with the Laboratory Director. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a biological science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of high complexity laboratory testing experience as an embryologist required.
  • Independent proficiency across all embryology and andrology procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management, including training, mentoring, scheduling, and competency evaluation of direct reports.
  • Strong working knowledge of laboratory quality systems, document control practices, and QC data management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements from CLIA, CAP, ASRM, and/or FDA

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily oversight of laboratory operations, staff assignments, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth, uninterrupted workflow.
  • Coordinate staff schedules, daily assignments, and individualized training plans; oversee and perform competency evaluations in collaboration with the Laboratory Director.
  • Review all quality control data across lab sections, track deficiencies, maintain accurate records, and ensure QC materials are current and compliant.
  • Conduct routine quality assurance reviews to uphold lab safety, procedural integrity, and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Lead document control initiatives — organizing and securing lab policies, procedures, and records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a procedure management program, coordinating biannual updates with the Laboratory Director and ensuring timely staff acknowledgment and sign-off.
  • Oversee proficiency testing data submission and results review.
  • Track and maintain laboratory equipment, managing calibration schedules, maintenance needs, and repair coordination to ensure full operational readiness.
  • Support inspection readiness for CLIA, CAP, and FDA regulatory reviews.
