Lab Manager (Construction Materials)

About The Position

NOVA Engineering is currently seeking a highly skilled CMT Laboratory Manager to join our team in Greenville, SC. The Lab Manager will manage the lab's production and personnel and provide quality assurance/quality control lab testing duties for commercial, retail, educational, low—to high-rise, manufacturing, and government construction projects.

Requirements

ACI Strength Testing and ACI Aggregate Testing Certifications Required
5+ Experience in a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory testing and sampling
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Strong project management abilities, including managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Performing specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and building components such as soil, concrete, and asphalt, per ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, etc. standards.
Maintain detailed records of observations, inspections, and test results.
Organizing lab data, processing, and report preparation.
Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment and workspaces.
Manage lab personnel and maintain required certifications among the laboratory team.
Maintaining lab accreditation.
