About The Position

The Lab Lead shall ensure lab personnel operate to standard lab run rules and applicable RF & Microelectronics policies within the lab, ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality controls, 6S, FOD/FOE, Equipment Calibration, Raytheon Property controls, ESD controls, Housekeeping, Shelf-life Controls, Preventative Maintenance, and Ergonomics. This position is an onsite role, located in McKinney, TX. Raytheon Engineering designs, produces, and builds new technologies and enhances existing capabilities to solve our customer's most complex challenges. The Apertures and Radio Frequency Department is a team of engineers responsible for electrical design and development of RF products within Raytheon. Our charter is to provide expertise in sub-systems engineering, RF and radome design, digital apertures, antenna ranges and module test.

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following.
• Experience in an engineering lab environment area overseeing or implementing safety, security, compliance and/or property management.
• Experience with coordination and implementation of Environmental Health Safety and Sustainment
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills
• Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations
• Experience with working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety, security, compliance and property management
• Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination
• Ability to organize and track Capital and Expense assets
• Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Responsibilities

• Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies
• Management coordination and implementation of Environmental Health Safety and Sustainment
• Property & Metrology Management including maintenance of equipment service contracts and ongoing equipment repairs
• Perform cost analysis, ensure task completion within approved budgets
• Perform lab purchase requests through SAP, SRM, and Vallen, while providing process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)
• Oversee audit/assessment preparation.
• Overseeing Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives, including engineering customer goals
• Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations
• Develop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer management
• Work to influence stakeholders within and outside responsible areas at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures
• Work autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input, guidance, and problem solving
