About The Position
We are seeking an outstanding candidate to fill our full-time Laboratory Information Specialist role. This position involves entering specific clinical data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, maintaining laboratory stock, cleanliness, and organization, assisting with specimen shipping and receiving, moving and changing supply tanks (compressed gas and liquid nitrogen), and managing visitors and phone calls.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Highly organized with an ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Must be a great communicator and team player
- Must be able to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or science preferred
- Two years of related administrative job experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Enter specific clinical data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Keep the laboratory stocked, cleaned and organized
- Aid in shipping and receiving of specimens
- Move and change supply tanks (compressed gas and liquid nitrogen)
- Receive visitors, answer phone calls, and triage appropriately
