About The Position

This position is for a Lab Helper B in Prof. Maryam Tabrizian's lab at McGill University. The role involves learning and assisting with various laboratory tasks, including cell culture, nanoparticle preparation, and the characterization of cells and membrane-derived vesicles. The helper will also support PhD students and Postdoctoral Fellows with their in vitro work and assist in investigating protein and nucleic acid loading and delivery. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience with techniques such as qPCR, SPR, QCMD, flow cytometry, and immunostaining.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1 Year Related Experience
• Authorized to work in Canada
• Willing to work in the province of Quebec
• Level 3 English proficiency on a scale of 0-4

Nice To Haves

• BSc in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering
• Experience in a research setting

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist in cell culture
• Assist in the characterization of cells

• Learn to isolate membrane-derived vesicles
• Assist the PhD students and PDF with their in vitro work
• Assist in the characterization of membrane-derived vesicles and NPs
