About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing samples, setting up instruments, running tests, and reading/interpreting and releasing results. The work shift is 10 am-6:30 pm Monday - Friday, with a minimum of 30 hours per week, potentially increasing to 40 depending on department needs. The target pay for this position is $25.87 an hour. Requirements

Proficiency in the English language which allows for participation in team meetings, accurate entry of data into company systems and understanding of written directions
Personal computer skills, strong typing ability, and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Associates/bachelor's degree in medical technology or MLT degree in related field is preferred
Clinical laboratory experience in Hematology is preferred
Laboratory skills and experience
General science background
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skill

Responsibilities

Must be proficient in at least three clinical areas
Responsible for performing tests such as Parasitology, Hematology, Chemistry and Serology
Process and prepare samples
Perform all required quality control per Quality Assurance guidelines
Train in all areas to include Specimen Processing, Chemistry, Hematology, UA, and Coagulant according to all SOP’s
Oversee the entering and releasing of results
Read UA slides at the required rate
Reconcile pending list
Perform other duties as assigned
