In this role, you’ll keep our development lab running smoothly — managing device wiring, maintaining hardware inventory, and supporting the CI/CD infrastructure that the engineering team relies on daily. This is a fully on-site position (5 days per week) given the hands-on nature of the work.

  • Familiarity with audio/video cabling, connectors, and optical transceivers (SFP/QSFP) used in broadcast or AV environments is an asset.
  • Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on lab setting, including racking/unracking equipment, managing cables, and troubleshooting physical connectivity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate inventory and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks based on engineering team needs.
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and take ownership of improving existing designs, processes, and tools for the betterment of the product and the team.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to broadcast networking, SDI, and SMPTE ST 2110 environments.

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Subversion).
  • CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Linux+, or similar industry certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize network, audio, video, and fiber optic cabling across lab and small-scale data center environments.
  • Rewire and reconfigure devices based on engineering requests, test plans, and project demands.
  • Install, replace, and decommission lab devices including switches, servers, and AV networking equipment.
  • Handle and troubleshoot optical transceivers (SFP/SFP+ and QSFP/QSFP-DD), including installation, swapping, and verifying link status.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory database of all data center devices, cabling, and port assignments.
  • Develop and maintain support utility scripts in Python and Bash to streamline lab operations and support remote access to lab devices.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the team’s Jenkins CI infrastructure as needed, including updating Jenkins packages and plugins, maintaining build scripts (Python/Bash), and occasional triage of build failures. This responsibility is shared across the team based on workload and availability.
