About The Position

Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. is seeking a responsible and energetic Lab Coordinator to support our manufacturing process. This role is responsible for overseeing the receipt, suitability, and routing of all lab samples, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate reporting of test results.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience working in a mechanical testing lab preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with various work cells at the mechanical testing lab.
• Knowledge of various test paths in the lab.
• Knowledge of time constraints at various work cells in the lab.
• Ability and familiarity with sample size, orientation, and geometry.
• Knowledge of material properties.

Responsibilities

• Packing and shipping of outside test samples.
• Communicate with inter-department staff to troubleshoot issues.
• Receive and process incoming samples.
• Review, inspect, and document inbound loads.
• Prioritize product workflow on the production floor.
• Traceability and investigation regarding any sample movement.
• Prepare test report and communicate results.
• Use computer scanners and/or software to input test results.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
