About The Position

Christian Northeast Hospital with BJC has a great opportunity for an experienced Lab Associate to work in a floater position. You will work onsite throughout the Metro St. Louis area as a phlebotomist and growth in different lab settings. This is a day shift position. Must have Phlebotomy experience. Annual Raises are provided.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience
• Phlebotomy experience

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Phlebotomy certification

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc.
• Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate.
• Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc.
