About The Position

This position is in Phlebotomy. Join our Phlebotomy Laboratory team to be an integral part of delivering precise and reliable laboratory results that impact patient outcomes positively. This is a float lab associate position. The team member will float between our campuses to cover other phlebotomists. The hours could fall between 630am-5pm depending on who they are covering. When the team member is not floating to other locations, the "home base" is at West Siteman cancer center from 7am-330pm (M-F).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Experience (Supervisor Experience)

Nice To Haves

• <2 years (Experience)
• < 2 years (Supervisor Experience)
• Phlebotomy experience is strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
