About The Position
This is a 2nd shift position responsible for accessioning specimens or patient tissue materials for testing, including packaging specimens or tissue materials to be sent out to a referring laboratory with minimal guidance. The role involves close collaboration with all laboratory staff, medical staff, and external customers. Key responsibilities include performing customer service functions such as telephone etiquette, basic troubleshooting, and problem resolution. The position also entails sorting, triaging, receiving, sending, processing, and batching specimens, processing samples pre-analytically for testing, and providing general clerical support. Requirements
- 1 year relevant work experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Quality Assurance (Novice)
