About The Position

Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Lab Assistant to join the Laboratory team! The selected candidate will obtain specimens from patients, utilizing appropriate techniques and maintain integrity of specimen according to established procedures, (blood, urine, feces, nasal swabs, and microbiological specimens). The individual will submit specimens to reference lab and maintain reference lab system and files. They will provide care to patients of all age categories while maintaining confidentiality. The selected candidate will help with CLIA waived testing and Moderate complexity testing after appropriate training and competency assessment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer skills
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy training program preferred
