About The Position
Monroe Health Center is seeking a Full-time Laboratory Assistant for the Craig County Health Center in New Castle, Virginia. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and passionate about serving a diverse patient population. Must have excellent Electronic Medical Records experience, good communication skills and ability to establish a good rapport with staff and patients of all ages. Requirements
- Phlebotomy experience
- Excellent Electronic Medical Records experience

Nice To Haves
- Basic laboratory experience or training preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary draws
- Process, label, and prepare specimens for in-house testing or external lab transport
- Conduct basic waived/moderate complexity lab tests as permitted
- Maintain lab equipment, supplies, and cleanliness according to regulatory standards
- Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of lab results
