The Lab Assistant is responsible for performing general laboratory duties that include spinning and reading urines samples and document the test results in the patient’s medical record. This role involves performing general laboratory duties, drawing blood after training, processing specimens, cleaning and checking equipment, performing quality control, maintaining logs, communicating with supervisors, ensuring regulatory compliance (OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA), adhering to company policies, maintaining patient confidentiality, demonstrating dependability, concentration, a positive attitude, and superior patient relations.
