About The Position

American Health Associates is hiring a full-time Lab Assistant in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role supports laboratory operations by carrying out sampling, testing, measuring, recording, and analyzing work in cooperation with the lab team. The successful candidate will have laboratory experience and the accuracy needed to produce reliable, valid results. Duties include preparing and loading microbiology samples, calling critical results, archiving and retrieving samples, performing inventory, and unpacking stock and maintaining department supplies as needed.

The position requires availability Tuesday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; shifts will be discussed during the interview. American Health Associates describes itself as the nation’s largest clinical reference laboratory dedicated to long-term care, with 35 years of diagnostic experience, 2,500 healthcare facilities nationwide, and 14 full-service CAP-accredited laboratories.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior laboratory, phlebotomy, or medical office experience.
• Detail oriented.
• Availability Tuesday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; shifts are discussed during the interview.
