About The Position
Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join its team in Dublin, Ohio. The role supports microbiology laboratory operations by receiving, sorting, preparing, and tracking clinical specimens, maintaining equipment and supplies, and following established procedures to support safety and quality. The schedule is third shift, Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., with rotating Sunday, Monday, and holiday work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Three months or more of specimen processing experience.
- Three months or more of medical or laboratory experience.
Responsibilities
- Receive and sort clinical laboratory specimens.
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
- Scan and/or enter specimen and patient information.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
- Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.
- Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
