This position requires excellent speaking and hearing abilities for communication with staff and patients, both in person and by telephone. The role involves sitting, walking, bending/stooping, lifting, and reaching to perform pre-analysis, analysis, and post-analysis specimen testing. Excellent documentation, organizational skills, and knowledge of good laboratory practices are essential. Visual acuity is needed for reading and interpreting CLIA waived lab tests, following technical procedures, and reporting results. The ability to operate a laboratory centrifuge and perform various blood collection techniques is required. This role involves regular contact with biohazardous specimens, carrying an inherent risk of exposure to bloodborne diseases (OSHA Risk Category I).
