About The Position

Esse Health is seeking a Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist for its Primary Care of Wentzville office. The role supports the clinical team by performing phlebotomy and processing laboratory specimens while providing patients with a safe and welcoming experience. The Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist may also assist with basic clinical tasks as needed under the supervision of the Office Manager and/or Physician. This is a full-time position in an outpatient clinical practice, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Nice To Haves

Formal training, likely indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy and process laboratory specimens according to established protocols.
Conduct routine laboratory tests and ensure proper documentation.
Assist with patient intake, including measuring vital signs and updating the electronic medical record (NextGen).
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
Greet patients warmly and maintain a professional, upbeat attitude.
Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team.
Assist with basic clinical tasks as needed under the supervision of the Office Manager and/or Physician.
