About The Position

Job Description: Responsible for the collection of laboratory specimens according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Acts as an assistant for laboratory techs as needed and/or directed with respect to specified CLIA waived testing. Requires moderate supervision. General Supervisor must be on site.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88; current Nevada licensure/certification for Laboratory Assistant
• 2 years experience as Phlebotomist
• Certification from ASCP, or equivalent with Nevada Board approved program and demonstrate the ability to collect various types of patient specimens
• Nevada State Licensure as Laboratory Assistant.
• Certification from ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately (specific age competent).
• Must possess appropriate people skills, organization and attention to detail.
• Must desire to act as a resource and provide assistance as required.
• Must demonstrate and maintain the ability to act as a Laboratory and Facility representative with professionalism and respect to assure positive public perception.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from ASCP or equivalent preferred.
