Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of laboratory workspaces, shared equipment areas, and storage areas
- Stock, monitor, and replenish routine laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables
- Receive, label, store, and help track laboratory supplies, samples, and reagents
- Maintain accurate records for inventory, equipment maintenance, temperature logs, and routine quality control activities
- Prepare basic solutions, buffers, media, and other routine laboratory materials according to established protocols
- Assist laboratory personnel with general operational tasks and experimental procedures to ensure efficient day-to-day lab function
- Perform routine upkeep of laboratory equipment, including cleaning, basic checks, and maintenance logs
- Monitor refrigerators, freezers, incubators, and other storage or culture equipment as assigned
- Handle and dispose of biohazardous, chemical, sharps, and general laboratory waste in accordance with institutional safety procedures
