About The Position

The Lab Aide provides assistance in the Clinical Laboratory at UCI Health. The position is based in Fountain Valley, and the schedule is variable. The job requires current American Heart Association BLS certification, customer service and communication skills, and the ability to maintain an appropriate work pace and effective working relationships across the Health System. A high school diploma or equivalent and familiarity with University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms are preferred. The role involves frequent standing and walking, recurring hand and wrist movements, reaching, twisting, bending, and handling or carrying light loads. Work may involve frequent exposure to chemicals, latex, infectious materials, and noise, as well as occasional exposure to high temperatures, radiation, and use of step stools or ladders. Respiratory-mask personal protective equipment is frequently required.

Requirements

Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
Demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
