About The Position

This position requires thorough knowledge of Naval maintenance publications, maintenance requirement cards, aircraft and engine logbooks, and scheduled removal component cards. The role involves documenting maintenance using the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Information System (NALCOMIS) and preparing Naval correspondence documents. The clerk will maintain publications and files, prepare and analyze maintenance reports, and operate data entry equipment. Additionally, the position requires the ability to analyze charts, graphs, and man-hour statistical information to support maintenance managers and logisticians. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also necessary.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of the OPNAVINST 4790.2H, Naval maintenance publications, maintenance requirement cards, aircraft and engine logbooks, scheduled removal component cards.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Six years aircraft maintenance administration experience.
  • Must have completed the Naval Aviation Maintenance Administration Course and the Data Analysis Course, or a military/civilian equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Document maintenance utilizing the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Information System (NALCOMIS).
  • Document all maintenance performed at the Organizational maintenance level.
  • Prepare Naval correspondence documents.
  • Maintain Naval aircraft maintenance publications/files.
  • Prepare and analyze maintenance reports.
  • Operate data entry equipment.
  • Set up, operate, and perform minor maintenance on the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) hardware and its associated remote peripheral subsystems.
  • Analyze charts, graphs, and man-hour statistical information to aid maintenance managers and logisticians.
