About The Position

PHEAA is seeking a Kubernetes Administrator to support and manage their on-premises Kubernetes environment. This is not a Kubernetes Developer or Application Support role. The focus is on Kubernetes platform administration, environment setup, cluster management, infrastructure support, and ongoing maintenance. The client uses on-prem Rancher K3s and Kubernetes and is looking for someone who can quickly contribute without requiring training on Kubernetes fundamentals. They are willing to train on their specific environment and processes, but candidates must already possess strong Kubernetes administration experience. The candidate should understand pod deployment, but the primary responsibility is administration and management of the Kubernetes platform itself. This is a Kubernetes Administrator role focused on managing the platform and infrastructure, not an application deployment or software development role. Experience administering Kubernetes clusters in production environments is required.

Requirements

• Kubernetes Administration (production environments)
• Experience building, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters
• Linux Administration experience (Enterprise Linux environments)
• Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing)
• Bash and/or Python scripting
• Git experience

Nice To Haves

• Rancher experience strongly preferred
