About The Position
This position is responsible for providing constant care for the needs of children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner. It involves performing learning and development activities that are age-group and program specific, and providing opportunities for physical and mental stimulation through both indoor and outdoor learning activities.
Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language.
- Ability to participate in a variety of sporting events including throwing and catching a ball, running and jumping.
- CPR & First Aid (or ability to obtain)
- Blood Borne Pathogens (or ability to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- Six months experience providing adult supervision to children in a camp, school or community center environment preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Monitors and ensures that children/youth remain on task for activities.
- Maintains the program materials and equipment in an orderly fashion.
- Ability to deal comfortably with stressful situations.
- Must be able to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
