About The Position

Perform daily failure analysis of mobile devices related to product liability claims and safety using analytical equipment such as X-Ray/CT machines and digital microscopes. Provide detailed technical analysis and reports to R&D, collaborating with engineering teams to improve product quality and next-generation repair productivity. Communicate with management to investigate user environments causing defective symptoms, interfacing with Product Management on product condition and specifications. Apply relevant technologies (X-Ray, CT, SEM, EDS) for electronics testing and perform scene and laboratory inspections outside the office. Share improvements and experiences in product troubleshooting, failure analysis, diagnostics and repair techniques with technician teams to enhance product performance quality.

Requirements

  • English/Korean bilingual required
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or Analytics
  • Comprehensive use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) in a Windows environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within the company and external contacts
  • Ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems involving highly diverse conditions requiring creativity

Nice To Haves

  • At least three years experience with selection, maintenance and application of electronic and test equipment (spectrum analyzers, X-Ray, CT, Digital microscope) preferred
  • Prior experience in the mobile industry preferred; strong Project Management skills and ability to prioritize in a complex working environment

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential improvements to product design and repair serviceability constraints during reverse engineering analysis
  • Provide detailed analysis and reports to R&D based on findings; collaborate with engineering team to improve next generation repair productivity and enhance quality of product performance
  • Communicate with management team to ensure and investigate user environment causing related defective symptoms; interface with Product Management to deliver product condition and specification
  • Identify potential performance problems and disseminate pertinent technical and repair information to appropriate personnel
  • Share improvements and experiences in product troubleshooting, failure analysis, diagnostics and repair techniques with repair technician team members and supervisors
  • Using relevant technologies (X-Ray, CT, SEM, EDS) perform electronics testing
  • Perform scene and laboratory inspections outside office
