This role focuses on managing and optimizing the Kong API Gateway as the organization transitions from WSO2 to Kong over a two-year migration plan, aligning with cloud migration timelines. The team's focus is shifting from server management to strategic API capabilities. The company has acquired most Kong modules, including Kong Connect, and plans to integrate an AI Gateway in the future.

Requirements

• Kong experience
• API Gateway knowledge
• Service Mesh understanding
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP
• Exposure to on-prem data centers
• Ability to understand API architecture end-to-end (Databases, Microservices, AI interaction points)

• Broader system architecture knowledge
• Experience supporting cloud migrations
• AI-API integration understanding

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the Kong API Gateway.
• Support the migration from WSO2 to Kong.
