About The Position

This role focuses on leveraging Kong API Gateway and Service Mesh capabilities within AWS or GCP environments, with an understanding of on-prem data centers. The engineer will be responsible for understanding API architecture end-to-end, including databases, microservices, and AI interaction points. The organization is undergoing a significant shift, migrating from WSO2 to Kong over a two-year plan, coinciding with cloud migration efforts. This transition elevates APIs to a strategic capability, moving beyond traditional server management. The company has acquired comprehensive Kong modules, including Kong Connect, and has plans for an AI Gateway.

Requirements

• Kong experience
• API Gateway knowledge
• Service Mesh understanding
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP
• Exposure to on-prem data centers
• Ability to understand API architecture end-to-end (Databases, Microservices, AI interaction points)
