This co-op role is open to applicants currently enrolled in a post-secondary program who will not graduate prior to the role, can work 40 hours per week, and can work in-person from a D2L office.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, and will not graduate prior to this co-op role (preference for students enrolled in an official co-op program)
  • Able to work 40 hours per week
  • Able to work in-person from a D2L office
  • Proactive and independent work ethic in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in at least one language other than English (preferably Canadian French, Mexican Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, or Arabic).
  • Capability to independently complete all deliverables related to customer and D2L needs in a timely and trackable manner.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GitHub as a platform for version control.
  • Experience with MadCap Flare as a content management system.
  • Experience in technical writing, particularly for software and process documentation.
  • Experience with Canva in creating how-to video tutorials.
  • Completion of courses in the areas of communication, technical writing, rhetoric, and/or courses with a strong persuasive writing component.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Knowledge and Localization Team to provide multi-lingual content for customers.
  • Create how-to video tutorials in multiple languages.
  • Conduct quality-assurance reviews of product translations.
  • Acquire multi-lingual product screenshots for help documentation and release notes.
  • Address client needs for multi-lingual content.
  • Develop how-to video tutorials.
  • Ensure the quality of product translations.
  • Produce and distribute multi-lingual content.
  • Oversee and manage publishing queues to review and publish content created by D2L colleagues.
