MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: As an Ops Knowledge Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USSTRATCOM. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment. You will play a crucial role in providing support in the following areas: Oversee knowledge management (KM) services to deliver, operate, and maintain all KM capabilities for processes, procedures, and tools to create, receive, validate, maintain, catalog, store, update, and retrieve organizational information. Develop and manage knowledge content used by the infrastructure operations section. Manage, refine, and mature USSTRATCOM’s metadata ontology and integration. Assess KM program, identify gaps, and recommend changes. Implement staff training on KM principles and practices. Coordinate with all stakeholders for the development, publishment and implementation of KM policies and procedures. Design, manage, and perform administrative functions for the USSTRACOM’s SharePoint on NIPRNet and SIPRNet, and any other general collaboration/information sharing tools. Develop, integrate, and maintain best practices for collaboration portals. Make recommendations for processes and integration of tools that can improve automation, collaboration, or data and knowledge processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Security Clearance Level: Must have a current/active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI status
  • Experience administering SharePoint (NIPRNet/SIPRNet), including site collections, permissions, workflows, and content types.
  • Strong knowledge of knowledge management practices, metadata schemas, taxonomy structures, and content lifecycle processes.
  • Understanding of DoW network environments, RMF, DISA STIGs, and secure data‑handling requirements.
  • Skill in troubleshooting system issues, managing updates, and supporting collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to create documentation, train staff, and support change management activities.

  • ITIL 4 Foundation certified within 9 months of start
