About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist to support our customer onsite in McLean, Va. Responsibilities include: Develop, manage, update, and maintain Knowledge Management (KM) systems (e.g., SharePoint sites, databases, and internal websites) that can serve as repositories for storing, sharing, and utilizing data. Assist the Government by advising them how best to utilize KM tools. The KM systems will enhance information sharing of analysis, assessments, legislative materials, policies, strategies, budget materials, IT information, and other relevant documents. Train system users, which may include IC partners, provide user guides as needed. The candidate shall integrate information with other databases, as required. When possible, utilize automated tools and visualizations to facilitate users’ access and ability to analyze information holdings. Employ specific tools for unique office needs, as required, which may include interoperability with or ability to share information with other IC or state and local partners. Create and maintain virtual communities of interest to enable the Agency and its partners to collaborate, store, search, and discover information; share lessons learned and best practices; and report and track metrics to assess progress against various programs, policies, and strategies. Develop simulations and exercises to test database readiness and communication channels. The candidate shall continuously identify opportunities to improve exchanges of information across systems as well as the Government and private sectors. Maintain and update a customer-wide repository for instructions, Internal Process Documents (IPDs), and policy memorandum. Build data repositories for a variety of mission needs that easily and automatically generate a variety of visualizations to support analysis, reporting, and briefings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of BA/BS and 5+ years of relevant experience or no degree and 9+ years of relevant experience.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance
  • Demonstrated experience with Knowledge Management processes and methodologies to include organizational studies and evaluations, system design and procedures, work simplification and measurement studies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, to include preparing operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
  • Working knowledge of quality control/testing to provide feedback on the functioning of web features in displaying content.
  • Excellent process-oriented organizational skills to ensure well-organized repository and pipeline of content for review and upload.
  • Demonstrated open communication and effective collaboration with team members and supervisors to enable continuous performance improvement.
  • Required Languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Content Management Systems: Joomla, WordPress, SharePoint
