About The Position

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Knot Sawyer on Third Shift to be located in West Plains, Missouri. The Knot Sawyer operates single blade circular saws to cut wood lumber to specified lengths.

Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Pulls 6’ to 16’ strips of rough lumber across saw from supply table.
Places material to be cut on saw feed table and positions work piece against back stop, synchronizing action with foot pedal-controlled ascending blade and cuts wood, while maintaining production pace.
Examines material prior to cutting to determine what cuts will remove defects and produce maximum usable footage.
Places usable cutoff pieces onto feed table to side matcher and defective pieces into waste conveyor belt.
Replaces dull or damaged saw blades and lubricates machine.
Perform any other duties assigned.
