The Knockout Cutoff Operator is responsible for removing ceramic from foundry molds using a hammer, verifying parts against paperwork, performing alloy type tests with an X-ray spectrometer, and cutting and trimming castings using an abrasive cut-off saw. This role also involves ensuring the correct placement of alloy for revert, verifying paperwork for foundry cast molds before knockout, and recording all work performed in Lot Control. The operator must maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, follow all safety rules, and comply with Standard Operating Procedures. A 90-day continuous training period is required for certification, during which all training documents must be completed and approved before a wage increase can be received.
