About The Position

The Kitting Operator reports to the Distribution Supervisor and is responsible for consistently demonstrating the ability to work on all assigned equipment with minimal assistance. This role involves participating in daily meetings, understanding instructions, and organizing manufacturing steps for the production of safe and effective quality products. The operator must follow written instructions on all documents related to production/packaging, including Batch Records, Inventory Sheets, and Logbooks, as well as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment, products, and processes. A key responsibility is transporting component parts weighing a minimum of 50lbs using appropriate lifting techniques. The operator will perform set-up and adjustments to manufacturing/packaging equipment to ensure peak efficiency and product quality, and operate and clean equipment according to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and specific instructions. This includes cleaning rooms and equipment, performing basic maintenance, and documenting all work accurately. Regular attendance and effective communication with team members, supervision, and other departments are essential. The role also requires the use of an electric pallet jack when necessary and performing other assigned duties as instructed by supervisors to meet company goals.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of cGMP (dietary supplement or pharmaceutical environment)
  • Experience, training, education or any combination of it related to cleaning equipment or and environment in dietary supplement, pharmaceutical or food industry.
  • Ability to use basic cleaning devices and ability to learn advanced cleaning equipment.
  • Requires the ability to use fractions, decimals, and commercial arithmetic as well as a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Regularly required to stand and bend
  • Must be able to use hands and arms to lift and reach
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs
  • Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Ability to lift, pull and push a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to use both arms to push , pull or lift.
  • Ability to bend and squat
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous knowledge and understanding of production processes in a cGMP or Pharmaceutical environment desired.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, dietary supplement or food industry is desired but not required.
  • Basic knowledge a cGMP regulations and experience in cGMP environment is preferred but not necessary.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily meetings, understand instructions and responsibilities, and organize the manufacturing steps required in the production of safe and effective quality products.
  • Follow instructions as written on all documents related to production/packaging of safe and effective quality products, including but not limited to Batch Records, Inventory Sheets and Logbooks.
  • Follow SOPs related but not limited to equipment, products, and processes.
  • Transport Component parts weighing a minimum of 50lbs and use appropriate lifting techniques.
  • Perform set-up and adjustments to all manufacturing/packaging equipment to ensure equipment perform at peak efficiency, producing safe and effective quality product.
  • Operate equipment and perform cleaning of it within the cGMP guidelines, appropriate SOPs and or specific instructions.
  • Clean rooms and equipment according to standard operating procedures and perform basic maintenance duties.
  • Document work on all documents required by SOP, cGMP Guidelines and or specific instructions.
  • Consistently check work for accuracy to ensure no errors or deficiencies and identify and report all discrepancies to immediate supervisor or designee.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Perform other assigned duties and follow verbal and written instructions issued by supervisor or designee related to meeting company goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with your team, supervision and other departments within the organization and function within a team, promoting positive work environment.
  • Use of electric pallet jack and training is necessary, when required.
