About The Position

The Kitting Coordinator is responsible for managing the kitting process, which involves pulling stock tickets, verifying and sorting materials, organizing them by kit (Work Order Number), and ensuring timely delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in various software systems, and the ability to work independently. The coordinator will also research and reconcile material issues, track delivery statuses, and communicate with vendors and internal teams. Additionally, the role involves returning unused materials and transporting kits to designated areas using various equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to use: Stand-up and Sit-down Lift, Operate Tractor
  • Knowledge of the SAP System (R3 Version) or Other ERP Programs
  • Very good communication skills via phone and email
  • Vast knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Organized
  • Ability to Work Independently
  • Proficient Typing Ability
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of the Internet
  • Knowledge of SAP and basis function within system
  • Previous forklift/cherry picker experience
  • Basic safety knowledge (i.e., proper lifting techniques, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Pull stock tickets daily and correct any quantity issues.
  • Verify and sort incoming materials for the Spot “K-901”.
  • Sort materials by “Kit” based on Work Order Number.
  • Communicate with Planners and Material Coordinators via phone and email regarding kit status.
  • Research and reconcile material issues using SAP.
  • Monitor kits nearing their requirement dates and assist with delivery statuses or expediting.
  • Research, call, and email vendors for delivery status and/or expediting.
  • Update kit status in SAP and notify the area when kits are ready for delivery and staging.
  • Return unused material to stock.
  • Transport kits to the designated area using a Tractor, Forklift, Van, or Golf Cart.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Verify and record amounts of materials received or distributed.
  • Drive equipment to transport items within the warehouse.
  • Use computer to enter records.
  • Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
  • Sort and store stocked goods in the warehouse.
  • Weigh or count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Verify the product that has been picked and document discrepancies on an error log.
  • Confirm tickets.
  • Consolidate freight for shipping.
  • Load trucks for delivery to customers.
  • Facilitate and distribute shipping tickets.
  • Verify shipping method.
  • Manage delayed release tickets.
  • Communicate oversize loads to freight carriers.
  • Inspect and maintain printing equipment.
  • Ensure shipping routes are maintained.
