About The Position

As a Kitting Associate, you will be an integral part of the Material Handling group at Stanley Black & Decker. This role involves ensuring that assembly lines and associated departments are consistently stocked with the correct quantity of parts, while actively preventing overstocking. You will be expected to strictly adhere to all SBD Willard safety policies and follow applicable ISO standards and procedures. Maintaining neat and organized stock areas is crucial, as is using proper radio etiquette. The position also requires providing backup support throughout the department as needed and performing tasks assigned by a Supervisor or Zone Leader. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Willingness to learn the layout of the facility
  • Must be able read and comprehend instructions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn the Janus scanning guns and procedures
  • Knowledge of the AS400 system or willing to learn
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Keep assembly lines and associated departments stocked with the proper amount of parts
  • Avoid overstocking lines or departments with excess inventory
  • Abide by all SBD Willard safety policies
  • Follow all applicable ISO standards & procedures
  • Ensure all stock areas are kept neat and organized
  • Use proper radio etiquette
  • Provide backup as needed throughout the department as needed
  • Perform tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Zone Leader
