The Kitter/Assembler is responsible for preparing and assembling materials needed to meet daily production schedules. This role supports manufacturing operations by performing a variety of kitting and sub-assembly tasks, including measuring, cutting, fastening, tying, and other pre-sewing production activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Sewing or textile manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in a production or assembly environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Department Supervisor to complete all kitting operations.
  • Prepare work orders according to daily production schedules.
  • Perform sub-assembly operations using a variety of materials and equipment.
  • Measure materials accurately to within 1/8 inch.
  • Operate light-duty production machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Measure and tie bungee cords.
  • Perform bartacking and other basic sewing-related functions.
  • Assemble components using materials such as: Velcro, Webbing, Elastic, Buckles, Grommets.
  • Produce quality work that meets established standards and production schedules.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials and products for quality compliance.
  • Follow approved work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist in other departments and areas as needed.
  • Work overtime when business needs require additional support.
