The Kitter/Assembler is responsible for preparing and assembling materials needed to meet daily production schedules. This role supports manufacturing operations by performing a variety of kitting and sub-assembly tasks, including measuring, cutting, fastening, tying, and other pre-sewing production activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate manufacturing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Nice To Haves
- Sewing or textile manufacturing experience.
- Experience working in a production or assembly environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Department Supervisor to complete all kitting operations.
- Prepare work orders according to daily production schedules.
- Perform sub-assembly operations using a variety of materials and equipment.
- Measure materials accurately to within 1/8 inch.
- Operate light-duty production machinery and manufacturing equipment.
- Measure and tie bungee cords.
- Perform bartacking and other basic sewing-related functions.
- Assemble components using materials such as: Velcro, Webbing, Elastic, Buckles, Grommets.
- Produce quality work that meets established standards and production schedules.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials and products for quality compliance.
- Follow approved work instructions and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist in other departments and areas as needed.
- Work overtime when business needs require additional support.
