About The Position

This is a full-time Kitchen Utility position responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment. The role involves preparing tableware for washing, operating and maintaining the dishwashing machine, cleaning and storing dishes and pots, managing garbage removal, and ensuring floors are clean. The work environment is diverse, fast-paced, deadline-driven, and requires coordination across multiple projects, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to last-minute changes.

Requirements

• Ability to prepare tableware for washing.
• Ability to set up and operate a dishwashing machine.
• Ability to wash, stack, and store china and pots.
• Ability to clean dishwashing equipment and working areas.
• Responsibility for garbage removal.
• Ability to mop and sweep floors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tableware for washing, including scraping plates and pre-soaking silver.
• Place all items to be washed in their proper rack.
• Set up the dishwashing machine, ensuring proper drainage, water levels, and detergent levels.
• Wash dishes and stack/store china in the appropriate kitchen area.
• Thoroughly clean dishwashing equipment and working areas.
• Collect, wash, and restack all soiled pots on shelves.
• Responsible for the removal of all garbage.
• Mop and sweep floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
