About The Position

The Prince George Hotel is looking for a seasonal Kitchen Steward to play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Behind every great dining experience is a strong stewarding team, this is your chance to be part of it.

Requirements

  • Previous stewarding or kitchen experience is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work closing shifts

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all dishware, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Follow proper procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment (WHMIS)
  • Support receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies
  • Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Report safety hazards, incidents, and maintenance concerns
  • Work closely with kitchen and Food & Beverage teams
  • Take initiative to ensure the kitchen remains in top condition at all times
