About The Position
As a Kitchen Steward, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. This includes ensuring china, glass, and silver are sparkling, prioritizing sanitation, and collaborating with the kitchen crew to keep all areas spotless. Your duties will involve scrubbing equipment, organizing utensils, and properly storing and rotating food items, making you a key player in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, and/or relevant experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately.
- Ability to perform effectively in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Capacity to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Keep the kitchen shining by cleaning dishes, scrubbing pots, sweeping floors, and taking out the trash.
- Replace all clean china, glass, and silver in their proper storage spots.
- Connect with guests and teammates, and jump into any task with a can-do, flexible attitude.
- Be reliable, show good character, make smart choices, and represent the team with trustworthiness.
