About The Position

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for the overall cleanliness of kitchen areas and dishware, tableware, and service ware under the guidance of the Kitchen Supervisors. This role is crucial for maintaining health and safety standards within the kitchen environment.

Requirements

Must have the ability to multi-task.
Communication skills for safety.
Gives good internal customer service to team members.
Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
Frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
May be required to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Customer Service or Food & Beverage experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Cleans according to standards broilers, deep fryers, grills, ovens, range hoods, ware washing machines, floors, and walk-ins.
Carefully rinses all dishware, tableware, and service ware for restaurants before sending them through the dish machine.
Washes hands at each possible point of contamination.
Cleans, deck brushes, and mops all kitchen floors.
Follows 3-compartment sink procedures.
Performs weekly de-liming of each dish machine.
Uses all chemicals according to use and knows where sheets are located.
Reports any malfunctions of the dishwashing machine or other equipment used.
Sets up, breaks down, and maintains all dishwashers.
Empties all trash and cardboard boxes to the dumpsters.
Cleans and maintains all cook lines.
Cleans ice machines.
Cleans hand sinks.
Fills paper towel and soap dispensers.
Uses and cleans floor signs.
Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisors to maintain the kitchen.
