About The Position

The Kitchen Staff position at California Chicken Cafe is responsible for preparing the restaurant's famous scratch-made recipes and maintaining a clean, neat, and organized back kitchen and facilities. This role requires adherence to company core values, efficient execution of production lists, proper food storage and labeling, and maintaining a sanitary work environment. The position also involves making and packaging guest orders and communicating any issues related to food quality, equipment, or the work environment. Adherence to all company policies and procedures is expected, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must attend and pass California Chicken Café Road to Success class within first month of hire
Able to understand and speak basic English
Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
Must pass Food Handlers course and test in compliance with CA state law requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant experience preferred

Responsibilities

Use manual or electronic appliances to prep and process food
Store and label foods according to Health Department regulations and company policy
Read, comprehend, and execute recipes
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and properly stocked restaurant

Strong communication regarding any issues with food quality, equipment, and work environment
Read and adhere to all company policies and procedures
