Requirements

Past experience working as a cook, chef, or in a similar role within a high-volume production kitchen or food service environment preferred
Communication in English is required
Ability to lift items over 30 lbs

Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

Support the kitchen manager in daily operations
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (knead dough, make fillings, and handle raw materials)
Follow standard procedures (SOP) to prepare and cook food, especially for some specific dishes such as wontons, banana roti, and others as needed
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, appliances, and workstations
Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
