About The Position

The Kitchen Sales Associate sells Harmons’ fresh kitchen items by providing remarkable customer service. The position packages products, fills shelves, stocks the kitchen department, maintains cleanliness, assists throughout the kitchen as needed, and serves customers. Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment, with possible frequent exposure to hot, cold, and wet conditions. The role involves daily interaction with store associates and customers, and requires availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

Current Food Handler’s Permit.
Enjoy working with and handling food products.
Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Verbal and listening skills to communicate effectively and efficiently with customers and fellow associates.
Ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for individual and team success.

Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
Ensure the quality and freshness of products and services provided by the kitchen.
Maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the kitchen.
Confirm pricing accuracy and signage for all products, with particular attention to advertised items.
Clean and sanitize the kitchen daily and ensure it meets company appearance standards.
Serve chef-prepared salads and entrees from the chef case.
Slice meats and cheeses to order.
Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
Package kitchen products and put them on the sales floor.
Restock the kitchen department and help sort and put away kitchen products when deliveries arrive.
Assist as needed throughout the kitchen department.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
